Embark on an immersive journey of discovery and creativity at our VR Summer program! Your child's mornings will be filled with captivating activities like Minecraft & Roblox coding, stop-motion animation, or coding through engaging platforms like Scratch or Python. But the adventure doesn't stop there! Afternoons will transport them into the remarkable world of virtual reality where they can indulge in 3D modeling, delve into the mysteries of our solar system and the laws of physics, voyage virtually around the world, and create stunning 3D art. This program is the perfect fusion of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics, offering an unparalleled STEAM learning experience that will inspire, educate, and entertain. Morning Weekly Programs
Minecraft & Roblox Game Design
This is not your Minecraft available at home! Students will explore new aspects of Minecraft Education, while also learning computer logic and programming! Students Code “Agents,” little minions, that assist them with collecting and building through a language similar to Scratch, but only if coded correctly... Ever increasing challenges and quests are bestowed upon the students, growing problem solving skills, patience and teamwork! With the help of custom worlds, students explore and build different styles of architecture including Roman, Greek, Contemporary, Brutalist and more! Minecraft Architecture Students learn about influential architects such as Ictinus, Frank Lloyd Wright, Zaha Hadid and others.
Roblox Studio is a powerful platform for creating your own games. With drag-and-drop features we can create games quickly, but coding knowledge is required to make something more unique. First we create an Obby, and then move onto more advanced custom projects to build game design, coding, and 3d skills! The only Roblox the kids will play in this class are the games that they make!
Python for Kids
Dive into an unforgettable coding adventure with "Python for Kids"! Designed specifically for curious minds aged 10-14, this 5-day summer camp is the perfect blend of education and entertainment. Aspiring coders will embark on a journey of discovery, learning the fundamentals of Python - one of the world's most popular and versatile programming languages.
Each day of the camp introduces exciting new programming concepts, from the basics of syntax to the thrill of solving complex problems. Campers will apply what they've learned by creating their own original mini-games, turning abstract coding principles into tangible, interactive experiences. Our hands-on approach ensures that each young programmer not only grasps the essentials of Python but also ignites a passion for technology and innovation.
The week culminates in a grand showcase where each camper has the opportunity to present their digital creation. This celebration of learning and creativity encourages students to take pride in their achievements and share their experiences with peers, fostering a supportive community of young coders.
Youtuber 101
Step into the spotlight with "YouTuber 101," the ultimate course designed for aspiring young creators aged 10-14 who dream of making their mark on the world of YouTube. This dynamic and engaging program goes beyond the basics, offering a comprehensive journey into the art of becoming a successful YouTuber.
Throughout this course, participants will delve deep into the essentials of crafting a YouTube channel that stands out. They'll learn how to identify and target a niche, understanding the importance of carving out a unique space in the vast YouTube universe. Our curriculum covers the critical skills of audience research, teaching kids how to connect with their viewers and create content that resonates.
But the journey doesn't stop there! "YouTuber 101" also equips young creators with the technical skills needed to bring their vision to life. From the basics of video editing and graphic design to the nuances of scriptwriting, students will gain hands-on experience in all aspects of video production. Our expert instructors will guide them through the process of transforming their ideas into engaging videos that captivate and inspire.
Scratch & Makecode Coding
Dive into video game design using Scratch and MakeCode Coding Platforms! Scratch is familiar to many kids as it’s used in schools nationwide. Scratch makes coding easier and more fun through programming with blocks of code! Without having to worry about exact syntax kids are able to make amazingly imaginative and impressive games in no time!
For older attendees we have some advanced techniques to share. MakeCode, developed by Microsoft, is also a block based learning platform, specialized in making games! We can also use MakeCode to program sensors, lights and more on tiny interactive computers - MicroBit & Circuit Playground.
Story Animation With AI
This program is meticulously crafted for young minds aged 8-12, offering a unique opportunity to explore the fascinating intersection of storytelling, artificial intelligence, and multimedia creation. Participants will be introduced to cutting-edge AI tools like GPT for text generation and DALL-E/Midjourney for visual storytelling, opening doors to new realms of creativity and imagination.
Students will discover how to weave captivating narratives using the power of artificial intelligence. They'll learn how to harness AI to develop complex, engaging stories and bring them to life with stunning AI-generated visuals. Our curriculum goes beyond the basics, providing in-depth knowledge on how to utilize these technologies to create rich, immersive story worlds.
The course offers extensive hands-on experience, allowing participants to dive deep into video editing and multimedia storytelling. Students will master the art of enriching their narratives with AI-generated images, adding depth and dimension to their stories. They'll also explore advanced editing techniques, including voice narration, to add a personal touch to their animated tales, making each story uniquely their own.
Stop Motion, Filmmaking, Garageband
Students experience the magical way stop-motion brings everyday objects and characters to life through its raw power of storytelling. Learn all the techniques important for live action filmmaking - Conceptualizing content, story building, graphic design, audio and video production, unique content creation, YouTube management and much more! Experience fun video techniques like green screening, easy computer effects and more! Staff, with a wealth of music experience, teach students how to use GarageBand to record live music, play music with the GarageBand sounds, pick and choose loops (musical phrases), produce re-mixes and more! Whether you know nothing about music or you practice your instruments every day, GarageBand is the best way to start recording and expanding your musical education. We often compose in GarageBand specifically for our animations and films!
Afternoon VR Program
During the afternoon sessions, students will transition to immersive VR STEAM experiences. These VR activities will be a harmonious blend of structured learning guided by our dedicated staff, and freeplay that encourages children to explore, sparking their natural curiosity and fostering independence. The engaging VR-based activities will encompass a wide variety of experiences, as follows:
MasterpieceVR is a VR 3D modeling and sculpting tool that enables children to intuitively generate 3D models and art in a fun, interactive way. By simply using hand controllers in a VR headset, kids can draw, sculpt, and paint in a three-dimensional space, turning their imaginations into virtual reality. With its user-friendly interface, kids can manipulate and interact with their 3D creations, fostering creativity, spatial awareness, and problem-solving skills.
Journey through the cosmos with Titans of Space. This stunning virtual reality experience offers an awe-inspiring tour of our solar system, showcasing the magnificence of planets, moons, asteroids, and other celestial phenomena. As kids virtually traverse through space, they gain an in-depth understanding of the vastness of our universe, the characteristics of different celestial bodies, and the fundamental principles of astronomy. Titans of Space not only instills a profound sense of wonder but also enriches their knowledge in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.
Create and destroy on an unimaginable scale while exploring our beautiful cosmos. Universe Sandbox is an awe-inspiring experience in a scientifically-accurate space and gravity simulator. With unlimited power and unlimited freedom, you can create and explore both fantastical and realistic scenarios. Fly through our solar system, vaporize planets with a giant laser, or hurl stars around with a flick of the wrist. Fly along with New Horizons past Pluto and its moons or explore our neighboring TRAPPIST-1 system and its recently discovered Earth-like planets.
Unleash the globetrotter within your child with Google Earth VR! This immersive virtual reality program enables kids to explore the four corners of the globe, all without leaving the arcade. From the peak of Mount Everest to the depths of the Grand Canyon, from the bustling streets of New York City to the tranquil waters of the Pacific, your child can travel anywhere and learn about diverse cultures, historical landmarks, geographical wonders, and so much more. Google Earth VR nurtures curiosity and develops knowledge in geography, history, culture, and technology.
Immerse your child in the world of 3D art with Tilt Brush. This groundbreaking VR application provides an exciting platform for kids to paint and draw in three dimensions, transforming their creativity into immersive artworks. With Tilt Brush, the virtual canvas is their playground, enabling them to visualize their ideas in space and time, and ultimately take their artistic skills to new heights. It's a unique blend of art and technology that not only nurtures their creativity, but also enhances their spatial understanding and technical skills.

Full amount is due at registration.

50% refundable from April 2 to June 1 (minus 5% admin fee).
No refunds after June 1; absences non-refundable.
General Policies
Any program may be cancelled if enrollment is insufficient. In such cases, participants will have the option to transfer to another course. Please note that course descriptions and instructors may change without prior notice. After June 1, no refunds will be issued.
5th Dimension VR is not responsible for personal property of the participants. There will be no reimbursement for missing possessions.
